Does anyone know if the tbm930 can make it from KLAX to KMXF
if so, what would be the optimal cruise speed/altitude.
I don’t have a specific answer but I know a way you could find out yourself.
go on solo mode, adjust the load of the tbm as you wish, and fly the route you’re planning to on the Liver server. The reason I say solo mode is because you can accelerate the sim speed 5x (meaning everything is simulated 5x faster, including physical speed and fuel consumption). You can see the results for yourself pretty quickly then

KMXF returns Maxwell AFB for me (Alabama). I don’t remember exactly but I know I’ve done something like 6 hours in a TBM before, and I’m pretty sure it can fly over 300 knots. KLAX KMXF should be no problem. Eco cruise is I believe just pushing the red tape around FL250.
I looked into my flight records and almost exactly 1 year ago today I set off from CYYT bound for EINN in a TBM. Had a bit of extra fuel in the tank so I continued on to LHR for a total flight time of 5:32 hugging the red tape at FL250, a distance of about 2000 nm. I don’t know what winds were that day but given an average speed of 363 knots, probably 50-60 knots tailwind? At 300 knots GS average you’re looking 1650 nm and the distance from KLAX to KMXF is about 1600. Given that this route also normally has a tailwind you’ll be fine.
