I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced it but when I recently tried to fly the CRJX, it struggle. I did a quick test (was at MTOW), instructed my plane to climb at 250 knots, and then level off at 400 feet MSL. I was flying in a clean configuration. The plane started violently bobbing up and down and then stalled itself out from aggressive inputs with the autopilot. I’ve had to manually fly it and level off before engaging the AP as it start messing up on its own. I can’t even leave it at 200 fpm and have it stay in one piece.
I haven’t flown the CRJX in a good while but I fly the -900 a ton and have similar problems.
Yeah i’ve flown the -200 so many time it’s really a sensitive aircraft
Could this be an autopilot issue on the CRJ family?
Had something similar with a320
The CRJ family have always felt wobbly to me. They have a rather narrow wheelbase so I wouldn’t say it’s unexpected.
And then you have the low mounted wings and engines in the back..
It still doesn’t seem right that I would completely stall out, though.
