Hi I’m @rile I have been wondering what people use to create most realistic flight plans?
I would say most of us prefer to use simbrief for creating realistic flight plans
I will have a look at it
I don’t use simbrief because it requires a subscription, but I ise a website called “flightplandatabase” where you put the ICAO of the departure and arrival airport and it gives you a flight plan without altitude, speed and no V speeds or calculations witj payload and flight time. Basically I just use it to have a route and then add departure, arrival and approach procedures.
You can use Simbrief without a subscription. Navigraph is a bit scummy and tries to force it. Once you’ve made an account go to this website:
How do I make the Simbrief plan into a IF plan?
See here:
You’ve done all you need to do in Simbrief. Now simply spawn in Infinite Flight, go to the map, click the icon with the opposite arrows in the bottom left and click the Simbrief option.
Thank you so much
One thing to be aware of as you get further into using Simbrief is the AIRAC cycles - IF’s airport and procedure database is (especially outside the US) not updated on IRL chart update schedules.
You may have inconsistencies between what Simbrief generates, and the corresponding details in IF. Be prepared to double check the waypoints between your DEP and ARR plans, and adjust if things come up oddly. And the DEP, ARR, STARs are occasionally changed IRL for various reasons, so the waypoints used, altitudes planned, etc, could vary. (Especially if new waypoints are defined but IF doesn’t know about them yet - it can be confusing the first time.)
With some experience, you’ll learn which spots may have issues, and how to edit the IF flightplan after your import.
Blue skies!
Just go to flightaware, and 90% of the time you click on a flight it has a flight plan. Press decode button(btw, this must be done on a separate device) and search every waypoint in the flight plan and add it to your if flight plan
ForeFlight. Has just about everything you need. A common app pilots use as well
ForeFlight though costs at least the same amount as Infinite Flight once you get past the free trial.
Well it’s a good thing I don’t only use it for Infinite Flight
Heyy mate me and my friend create a site just for that
