Creating a VA

I really don’t what category I can put this, what title should I put or I can post something like this!
Whatever, since Aegean Airlines isn’t a virtual airline I was thinking of creating one! There is a small problem though… I don’t know how to make one, actually I do no but there are some things that I don’t know, so if you have any advice or you want to help please say!

Hey mate. I know for sure that there’s no current VA for Aegean (previous ones have closed down) But @BennyBoy_Alpha has correctly share the IFVARB link that should be your point of information :slight_smile: Best of luck

I’d highly recommend serving as staff at an existing VA first before you create your own. You truly learn a lot by serving as staff. You learn the basic organizational structure, framework, crew centre decisions, PIREP reviewing skills, event programs and much more when you’re a staff at a VA.

I was head of internal affairs at another VA before starting my own VA, and I can confidently say that without the experience as head of internal affairs I would not have been able to start or run my VA.

Hey, no worries at all — it’s totally fine to post something like this! Starting a VA can feel overwhelming at first :joy:, but it’s great that you’re thinking about it :fire:

If you’re unsure where to begin, I’d recommend reading through the IFVARB VA Creation Guidelines — it’s a solid first step as per @BennyBoy_Alpha mention above. Even better, try joining the staff team of an existing VA if you can. That hands-on experience teaches you a lot — from crew center setup and event planning to how PIREPs are handled, i mean everything about VA Operation.

If you already have a vision for your Aegean VA, feel free to reserve your VA :heart: with complete Docs. Don’t worry about being perfect from the start — the community is here to help :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
