I’m thinking about starting a Virtual Airline.
I have looked into this a bit and won’t really be able to do this on my own.
So if there is anyone who is interested in helping me create a VA, please send me a PM :)
Also, I don’t know what airline I want to create yet, so if there’s anyone who knows an untaken airline, which is based in europe, please let me know!

Check out this thread, if you click on the ifvarb website it shows what airlines are currently operating. Click on VO/VA database :)

Adding on to what @AarkonTV said, there is also a button to click to see what VAs are currently reserved. Just double check that your chosen VA currently does not exist and is not reserved.
A suggestion would be China Eastern. Unfortunately there are no liveries for them, but they have 4 hubs, two secondary hubs, and 14 focus cities in their mainline fleet alone. In addition to that, they also have a cargo division (which has the 777F livery), a subsidiary of China United Airlines, which has a hub and a focus city, with 32 destinations, and the subsidiary Shanghai Airlines, which has 140 destinations but no liveries. The amount of routes you would have is ridiculous. I am willing to bet money that the China Eastern mainline fleet has more routes than my VA + all nine of our subsidiaries combined.

Ok, I’m in. I made one before but after purchasing
Some aircrafts I didn’t have pilots nor the IFpilots where you can be connected and all joined as a whole. To function as a complete VA. I think this should give you an idea of the fact that Im not enough without enough pilot

I thought about starting Icelandair Virtual. It wasn’t reserved so I did a search trying to find out if the VA already existed. I stumbled upon an Icelandair Virtual topic but in the title it said it was shut down. I can’t find anything else about it so I was kinda hoping you maybe know something more about it @AarkonTV @Altaria55
It got shut down for copyright reasons by Icelandair. Thanks for reminding me, by the way. At the bottom of the User Watchlist (can be found at the very bottom of the website), there is another list of VAs that are prohibited from being started as they have been previously shut down for copyright reasons, such as Lufthansa (NonStop Virtual), Air New Zealand (vNZ), and LATAM (South American Virtual Group). Other than those three, you may start any of those under a different name, brand, logo, everything. You just can’t use the name of the airline or their logo/slogan/etc.
You can also create your own VA, with custom logos, name etc.

Maybe try El Al. That’s a good one or maybe if you’re open to Asia, try Air China. Air China is a good one.
I know an OP airline that has never been taken before, and has one of the largest fleets with liveries in IF.

You should read IFVARB page. You need to have chosen a VA. Then make an operation plan and a VA experience statement.
The operation plan is how you plan your VA to work. Includes website and routes, as well as pilot ranks, fleet and training for pilots.
The VA Experience Statement is why you’re making the VA, what experience do you have (like have you been staff member or pilot for another VA?)
Check on IFVARB and make sure your chosen VA hasn’t been reserved. You can work on your website even after reservation and make changes to operation plan, but you should start with that and then apply.
Ok thanks for that :). So am I supposed to build a website before applying?
Well first off. I’d gather a team of people who believe in the VA just as much as you. Together you should build a website then apply your VA to the IFVARB.
