Crashes during multi-leg flights

The high crash rate of Infinite Flight on iOS devices is an issue that has been discussed quite a lot, but most of these posts discuss crashes on final. I have had my fair share of on-final crashes but I have found ways to mitigate the issue. I’ve completed some really long flights and have been able to land fine after (like literally yesterday, when I did a flight from WSSS to KJFK in the A350, the longest IRL passenger route. Landed after 18 hours of flying and no issues).

However, I have always faced crashes when trying to do multi-leg flights. The first time I tried something like this was back in May, when I flew from EGLL to LGAV and was trying to fly the same plane back to EGLL as I figured it would be a realistic operation. Soon after takeoff from LGAV though, my game crashed during the initial climb. Today I flew from Adelaide to Sydney as Velocity 401. I landed in Sydney with no issues and waited an hour before planning my next leg, from Sydney to Melbourne. IRL this is how the flight goes (based on the information I found). When waiting, I pointed the camera towards the sky, had the phone in charge and tuned out of the Ground frequency. Once I was ready to start flying, I first cleared my scenery cache (something I do before the start of each flight) and then changed my callsign to Velocity 824. I taxied out to RWY 34L and took off, but around 1-2 minutes after takeoff, my game crashed. I’m using an iPhone X with iOS 16.4.1 and Infinite Flight 23.1.1. I have 4 GB of free storage, if that is of any help.

TL; DR: I can’t fly two legs. If I land and try to takeoff again, my game crashes.

First, welcome to the community. Second, i don’t think you should do multi leg flights because it adds a lot of strain on your device by having to download more airports and stuff. The same thing happens to me, yesterday I flew from SFO-SYD with no trouble but today my game crashed when I started taxiing. Try clearing your scenery cache before you spawn and lower your graphics a little bit.

That doesn’t help with crashing

It does, the scenery and stuff that’s downloaded gets deleted when you clear your scenery cache. Therefore it makes it easier for your device

I’ve cleared my chache and still immediately crashed on the next flight. Granted this was before the last update. It’s a 50/50 if it helps it seems

Most times there isn’t anything we can do about it

I do yet I seem to crash still

Did you lower your graphics? The iPhone X isn’t the newest and can’t run high graphics.
