I was descending to OMDB after 3 hours of flying… just 12 minutes from arrival, the app started to get laggy and suddenly stopped responding. When i tab on anything no response at all…
After that, the app crashed and went back to my homescreen and ruined my wonderful flight… My device is iPad Air 2019 running the latest IOS… My graphics settings is on high which i used to set them without any problems… I haven’t had such issue before and it’s my first time i experience this since a long time with this simulator… That’s frustrating as i have just recently renewed my subscription…

This same thing happened to me a few months back. I flew from KLAX to OMDB and the app froze and crashed 12 minutes from arrival. I think it has something to do with your graphics settings. Try turning them on low. It worked for me.
If this doesn’t work, put set the camera to a position where nothing moves (for example, ceiling of cockpit, cabin floor, camera off), and this should keep it from crashing.

I have the same device and didn’t have such problems yet, I guess is a random crash, nothing to do with your device.
For sure you don’t need to lowering settings, I run with all max and it’s perfectly fine.
An advice can be to restart your device when ending / starting a flight.

But it’s my first time I encounter such issue after dozens of flights woth high settings…

Me too haven’t experienced this once in my life since i started IF… The frustrating thing is that it happened on arrival…

As I said, I guess is completely random. Maybe something to do with your storage?
Yeah, I had it on high before and it worked just fine. I think that the high settings can work on other flights, but has a higher chance of glitching over Persian Gulf. I don’t know though.

I don’t think so as my device is entirely specified to IF… That’s frustrating tho

I think flying over seas shouldn’t have problems since there’s no scenery to be downloaded🤔

Happened to Me 3 times just this week really annoying as setting up a flight and not being able to use the device for hours is hard and difficult to plan so makes it a waste of time if the app’s gonna just crash

I had absolutely the same problem few month ago when I was arriving Dubrovnik. But I’ve never had those problem since then. Unfortunately I have nothing to say, but now you know that not only you had this problem :D
You’re absolutely right… Just not using your device for a long time during the flight and spending time in planning then simply you loose everything is the worst feeling for any aviator…

That’s a bit reassuring but the feeling itself is so bad and turning my mood down as i was approaching to land after a very nice and well managed flight…
