there is a crackly sound in the audio. How do you fix that?

Are you talking about the atc comms or just all sound in general?
The slightly crackly ATC sound is by design. It’s to give a radio-like effect.

I think he is talking about a crackly sound for the full audio Plane ATC and it almost sounds like it’s being cut off by something,I usually restart my device or delete the app and reinstall it,that usually fixes it,freeing up storage also helps!

You’re using an iPad 9th gen.
Unfortunately that is one of the devices that is suffering from an audio rattle ever since iPadOS 18 was released.
Try triggering Siri. That should solve the issue.

yeah its happening with ipad gen 7 too , in mine audio rattle is too much ! this issue i don’t face in iphone 12 .

And I thought I was going crazy, or that it was my speakers, I know what you mean, where the tts is crackly and same with the airplane audio

Me too but it was just my IPads update lol 
I use a 9th Gen Ipad as well
Ever since that bug came up I started using my IPhone 13 for Flight Sims.
This is also an issue with the Ipad 8th Gen also! Thought i would make it known
I have a 6-7th gen I forgot what one, and I have the issue, tthis makes more sense, im glad I figured it out lol
