Since the cockpit of the A320Neo, as well as the passenger cabin, is almost identical, if not practically the same, as the A320ceo, could the arrival of the NEO family make it easier and thus more likely for the rework of the CEO Family to happen in the sim?

Yes. The only difference these aircraft would have in game is different engines and slightly different performance.
Although personally if they do this they might as well do the 737-800 as well. It would keep balance in the fan base
Hopefully they’ll be able to make some improvements to the 320 series after this. The operation feel of 320neo may be better than that of 320ceo. It would be great if the developer team could carry its operating feel to the 320ceo. 👀

I’m by no means an expert in writing code or in digital art, but I believe this will be a great opportunity to update a 2015 aircraft. It’s likely that only the engines and sharklets need to be modeled (which could also be reused), as well as maybe slightly adjusting some other stuff. Everything else could potentially be reused from the NEO. (As I said, I’m not an expert, so I could be very wrong.)
