After a very nice 6 days in Benin, we will now hop over Africa to Addis Ababa. Nice to get away from the hordes of tourists for once.
Today we got to the airport around 11AM to catch our flight to ADD. Check in was alright and the airport’s amenities were quite sparse, but okay.
Boarding on the apron. We are booked in economy for this transcontinental flight, and it isn’t looking very promising- the seat feels somewhat cramped, however, the cabin is very modern, neat and well-equipped.

At cruise over Nigeria at FL390. I decided to watch a movie to pass the time.
Nice scenery down there. I tried to take a nap, but the seat was just too cramped. The blanket was great though.
Over South Sudan, we were served dinner, which consisted of a hearty spiced beef stew with injera. It was a very nice meal, and the cabin crew was very friendly throughout Solid 10/10 for service.

Deplaning in Addis Ababa. Overall, a pretty solid flight. The food was great, the crew was lovely, just that the seat was more than a little cramped. A very respectable 7/10 for Ethiopian. 
We will spend 5 days in Addis Ababa and the surrounding region, visiting major highlights like the National Museum and Merkato, alongside nearby day trips to the Entoto Mountains, Menagesha Suba Forest, or the Debre Libanos Monastery. After this, we will head to Nairobi, Kenya!
