Corsair 870

6-ish hours

After an incredible 6 days in Paris, we will be heading to the third continent of our journey- Africa! Today we will fly on Corsair, SS870 to Cotonou.

Today arrived at the airport at around 9AM after enjoying a hearty breakfast at Le Ju’, which served the best omelet I’ve had in my life. Check-in was alright; we hung around a bit before boarding.

The seat is very comfy, and we have a large, responsive IFE screen. Corsair’s hard product is a very solid rival to seated ruler of the French aviation scene, AF.

Liftoff from Orly!

At cruise over the Realm of the Baguette :baguette_bread:

Goodbye, Europe! The lunch has been served- an alright rice with stir-fried vegetables and chicken, served with a toasted bun and some cheese and a beer. It was edible but the presentation just wasn’t appetizing tbh.

The Algerian coast! :algeria:

One will not know true emptiness until one flies over the Sahara…

As we cruised over Algeria, I decided it was time for some shut-eye and I settled in for a 2-hour nap.

Over the Sahel.

Descending into Cotonou. We entered a holding pattern to lose altitude and wait as there was something up at Cotonou.

Parked at Cotonou. Overall, a very solid 7/10 for Corsair. Their hard product is great- I have no complaints about the seat; the blanket is very comfortable and I had a great nap, however, the food was just alright. The crew was very polite and attentive.

Now, we will spend 6 days in Benin :benin:, covering the country’s rich culture and ancient history. Benin isn’t a common holiday destination, so we’re hoping for a refreshing break from the tourist hordes and a little trip off the beaten track here.

Anyway, that’s all for today, see you in the next trip report!
