Correct command when approaching a GPS runway

I’m a little confused as to what should be the correct procedure specifically when Approach hands you over to Tower for a GPS runway. Normally for ILS runways I would request ‘inbound on the ILS, runway XX’

Should pilots request the same thing (even though its GPS) or should they simply say inbound for landing etc.? As I understand it, inbound for landing requests require Tower to give pilots 2 commands rather than just 1 thus doubling their work load.

Just send inbound on the ILS… :)

Yes, for now, until we have visual approaches, if a controller vectors you for an intercept and clears you for a GOS approach, call inbound on the ILS. That way no sequencing is required, just a clearance.
