After a long week at work, what more would you want but to put your feet up and watch television? Oh, of course, you want to fly your private jet to the Carribean and swim with pigs! Well swimming with pigs you can do in your free time, but we can help with the corporate jet part of your wish!

If you find yourself in this situation, or if you just like flying, join us for this weeks Friday Night Flight! This week we head to the Carribean, taking corporate jets to a variety of islands across the area. The area is stunning and there will be lots to see and do, so get as many flights as you can in!

You can find a list of open airports by IFATC further on, but please note that many airports are not capable of heavy aircraft. In addition, three airports will be closed to all traffic during this time. Please adhere to these, and other, TFRs as breaking them will result in ghosting by IFATC.

Agreed. With the lack of space, one runway, and heavy abilities, it would be IFATC’s worst nightmare.

Ayyyyy, my home in the poll. Looking forward to this as today and Saturday is carnival in Cayman so Friday gives some good down time to fly.

Just a curious question. Are we not permitted to fly in and out if these airports period? Not even fly and not interfere with the event?

If they weren’t, everyone would fly from them to the other airports that are open, especially TNCM.

This would result in:

  • Less traffic for other open airports
  • Poor behaviour at those busy airport without ATC such as TNCM

On top of that, this event is across the whole region, and there are event airports where traffic is being directed. If I could, I would close all non-event airports in the area.
