Memories of the Old Copa Airlines Livery
Having Mexico City’s Benito Juarez Airport with buildings, like Guarulhos is a great milestone and a step forward for development of terminal structures in Latin American airports. Since resuming flights to Mexico City, Copa Airlines has 3 daily flights from Panama, a good number considering the amount of people who travel frequently between the 2 countries. Yesterday I was able to do my 3rd flight with the beta version of 21.1 with no incidents, as CM121 MEX-PTY.

Copa Airlines’ destinations will increase by 1 in 2025 with the addition of San Diego (SAN). The airline serves 84 cities currently, but their destination count appears as 85 because they count Mexico City twice as they serve both MEX and NLU airports. Looking strictly the number by cities served the destination count would be 85 this year, from airports served perspective would be 86.

Live Copa Airlines flights at this moment. I have 4 sets of filters for each airplane type of their fleet, a total of 103 airplanes (102 passenger planes and 1 cargo plane). I have filtered them by registration to track them better.

Second day of testing the 21.1 beta build. An hour before leaving JFK as flight CM875, I had a moment to admire how the buildings make look the 737 a smaller airplane, the buildings really make a difference in perspective!

Memories of the Old Copa Airlines Livery
Flying to South America from Panama has become a trend for me, since I get to fly up to 7 hours on a 737 and test my abilities to land at night when visibility is low. Just a few minutes ago I flew to Sao Paulo (GRU) as CM800. It’s been a while since I landed at an airport with buildings after the fix of the total darkness issue we all faced in previous beta builds. The flight went normally. I plan to continue exploring other Copa routes to South America on the coming days, they’re quite unique!

Flying over Panama City, after the app update that brought high-quality scenery and terrain for Central and South America. Before, the terrain for these regions since Global Flight was poor due to unavailability of better terrain quality.
