Copa Airlines’ Destinations in the Americas Tour: Belize
The last country in Copa’s network map in Central America is Belize. The airline landed in this country with the inauguration of the Panama-Belize City route. Belize City is the largest city of Belize and at some point, the capital of the historical territory of British Honduras. This country is the only English-speaking country in Central America, due to its past as a British territory.
Belize City has its share of old cathedrals, historic buildings, museums and street markets. Copa Airlines operates at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport, for their flights to Belize City. Like many countries, tourism has been vital for Belize’s economy. Some places to visit are:
- Old Belize Cultural and Historical Center
- Nohoch Che’en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve
- Cucumber Beach
- Baron Bliss Lighthouse
