Copa Airlines Boeing 737-800 (Revised Livery with Split Scimitar Winglets)

A new year starts, hopefully the most-awaited livery update will happen some time during 2022! Last year was very significant for this topic: it was bumped regularly and gained more attention from forum members. When I started campaigning for real for this livery, it had only 9 votes, incredibly it has over 60 votes now! I was very skeptic about the outcome of months of writing posts at first, but it’s thanks to your support that this livery is having more chances of getting the rework it desperately needs.

I wrote about just everything I know about Copa Airlines: history, fleet, destinations, recognitions and accomplishments. I admit that I have ran out of topics, after completing the months-long tour around the airline’s destinations, so I may now have to either recycle or just post regularly about the flights I do with the Copa livery. Either way, I hope y’all will join me in making this a reality. It’s been 3 years since the 737 got the split scimitar winglets, sadly the IF people missed the opportunity not just to fix the livery, but also to add the new winglets to it.

The real-life airplane (HP-1522CMP) is Copa Airlines’ first 737-800 and it’s the registration of the livery in IF. Given the age of the airplane, I have been pushing for a livery rework, based on a newer Copa 737. This became more of an issue when the airplane was converted into a freighter. Tocumen International Airport is now 3D-edited, all what’s missing is the Copa Airlines livery update!

While I patiently wait for it, I’ll continue flying it, but I won’t stop bumping this topic until it becomes a reality. Below, a screenshot of a flight I’m currently doing from Panama to San Francisco, as CM382.

The Copa Airlines livery in IF has the following problems:

Outdated CopaAirlines logo typography.

1729870-large

Missing split scimitar winglets.

Missing Star Alliance logo.

Missing bare metal belly.

Since HP-1522CMP (the IRL airplane and the registration of the livery in IF) is now a cargo airplane, I urge the IF folks to rework the livery based on a newer Copa airplane, some examples listed below:
