The controlling at London Heathrow has been incredibly inefficient. ATIS frequency advised use of both runways (27L & R) for both departures and arrivals where as in the real world only departures and arrivals are typically split between each runway.
This would not be a problem normally, however, somewhere in the cooperation between tower and approach the sequencing has been horrible to the point that on 27R there has been maybe one departure every 7-10 minutes between landings due to how tight they have aircrafts coming in. This could have easily been alleviated and reduced unnecessary congestion had IRL operations been followed by using 27R for Arrivals and usage of holds for spacing (as is standard for LHR) as well through using 27L for departures only which would have kept them rolling.
I completely understand that IF ATC is comprised solely of volunteers who dedicate their time to make the IF expert server experience more realistic and enjoyable and does not always follow the same operations as IRL, it is purely my hope that this message comes across as constructive criticism to help improve future experiences.
