I was flying into KSFO just now, and could not see the name of the controller working Ground, Tower, and ATIS. It just shows “___ at KSFO,” with just blank space where the controller’s identity should be. I had no issue seeing the name of the Oakland Center controller. This was on the Expert Server.
I’ve also seen instances of empty names (but with aircraft) when I do ATC in training server as well, not sure how it happens though.
I think it’s probably a user without an IFC Account?
Its not just with controllers, name of some pilots are also not showing .
Not allowed as ATC I think
All IFATC must have their IFC linked, which means this is a bug.
Could it be they set their username to private?
That is no longer an option nor permitted on ES when controlling.
