Control Tower Range

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering how far away I can contact approach control or tower when in the sky and heading to the certain airport?

Approach Range from Airports

Tower From (SFC) to (10,000ft) AAL and within 25nm Departure/Approach From (SFC) to (18,000ft) AAL / FL180 and within 50nm Center From (SFC) to FL600 and within the white boundaries Pro Tip: just click on airport icon and check if (tune) in white colour if so than click it on.

The range for the Center frequency is 400nm.

The range for tower is 30nm in the ATC Panel, 40nm if selected through the airport information tab in the navigation maps. Approach is 50nm/60nm respectively.
