Random app crashes occur way too frequently. Flights involving IFATC staffed airports with some activity will almost always crash my device. This has nothing to do with my devices storage or graphics settings or live aircraft count. I’ve been experiencing this issue ever since I bought my new iPad a year ago.
Almost a year later, it still occurs way too often. I used to be a huge fan of Infinite Flight but I’m extremely disappointed that little to nothing has been done to fix this issue.
I have the exact same iPad as you, and I rarely ever experience game crashes, especially ones during flight. What are your graphic and airplane count settings?
Hi there! It was happening to me all the time with an IPad 8th generation, an infinite flight Dev aided me with this issue and I haven’t got any app crashes at all on this past two months I believe. It’s all about airport density.
Go to your graphic setting and turn the second option (density objects) to Low. Believe me, I was hesitant to turn it to Low because I would be missing all the cranes, car, objects and details that make the airports a little bit more realistic. But when you are coming from a long haul all you want is to see the airport buildings, the other planes and most importantly, to land without the fear of crashing.
With density objects to low I’m able to select ‘very high’ on the planes shown online with full quality and everything runs perfect. Just bear in mind that way to many planes can still be too much but lower it to high and you’re good to go.
Hope this helped, let me know if this works!
(And thank you for the advice infinite flight Dev that I do not remember right now, I owe you big time)
