Consolidated B-24 Liberator

The B-24 was a WW2 era heavy bomber. It was used in the Pacific and European theatres. Louie Zamperini (who KTOA is named after) flew one of these aircraft, but it crashed. He was a castaway for a long period of time, was found by the Japanese, and released a year later. Over 19,000 of these were built, but they were phased out after the war in favor of the B-29 Superfortress.
