Confusion with ATC at LAX

So, @Fashizle is operating at KLAX on expert right now and I am 100% certain that this person is having aircraft not taxi and threatening to report if we taxi without instruction. Everyone is requesting taxi and they are just not responding. That is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating…It might be funny to you, but do it on training or casual…

Echoing Skylar-

I am 100% certain this is not the case. They are having connection issues. Please be patient.

Hello!
I would recommend privately DM’ing/PM’ing the controller, calling them out publicly is not the way to go. Currently there are multiple bugs with ATC communication, I can almost guarantee that they are not doin it on purpose. Here at IFATC we are told and trained to service Pilots with the utmost professionalism and efficiency!

Yeah it’s not LAX only

This is not true. There are currently issues with two-way communication that are impacting the ability to respond to requests. It’s unfair and inaccurate to suggest that the controller is deliberately ignoring pilots or threatening to report anyone without reason. Please remain patient. Accusations like this are not helpful. If you want to express frustration, do so constructively without assuming bad intentions. Your best bet here is to PM the controller regarding the situation. Cheers!

Your absolutely right, I thought about it and it totally could have been server issues as I saw their was a hotfix this morning. My utmost apologies to the controller and I appreciate others telling me that it is not just at happening at KLAX. I will take all of your reccomendations to heart for the future and I should have PMed the person.

can confirm, was having this issue where some pilots were not receiving instructions from me. no fault of the controller, just server issue that will hopefully be fixed soon. Sorry about the inconvenience, IFATC is aware of the issue and attempting to work around it where we can.

It’s frustrating waiting for pushback and taxi for extended periods of time at major airports like LAX, but if the controller tells you to not repeat a request, then I recommended that you following their instructions because they can and will issue a violation for “spamming the frequency”. You wouldn’t want to risk that. Just some friendly advice 😊
