Confused with speeds on Dash 8

I’m quite confused with the speed guide in the Dash 8 cockpit.

It’s says the following:

0-8000 feet- 245 knots
10000- 282 knots
18000- 286 knots
20000- 275 knots
25000- 248 knots

Why does it tell me to reduce my speed at a higher altitude? At first it tells me to fly at 245 knots, then 282, 286 and then it randomly drops by 10 knots. How does it work? It’s been bugging me for a while now :/. Thanks

Real life fuel efficiency. And somethig else I may be forgetting.

@emir_sergio… MaxSez… Your answer can be found in the Dash-8/400 Operation Handbook located in the archive. Suggest you review it as it has an explanation for all phases of flight in this airframe.

That’s a little much stormy. The POH in the archive is for a simulator and it’s written in layman language, just sayin. Max

You won’t find something beginner related. I tried many times when searching for the stall charts, I came across them by luck only.
