Guys, I’m new so be nice. " what is global"? Is it a truly open world? I.e travel London to Thailand in one go?

Yes, global flight will allow everyone to fly anywhere on Earth. :)

Yeah, the devs said that you could do long haul flights if your battery permits it.

welcome to the forum!. as @CptNathanHope has said it means you can fly anywhere you want. a bit crazy compared to what we have now I know but thats what is promised :)

The possibility to fly from/to anywhere - fuel permitting 😏. I will be setting up a tanker service based in EGPH.
