We know that you devs are busy on new aircraft and their liveries, I just want to tell you that There are 2 airlines livery that has confirmed yes it’s not on the game. Hopefully you responses to this message. Thank you.
It might have been taken out of the development pipeline.
Or they forgot because of so many things.
Hopefully to they don’t go political. Just be the simulator itself.
Sadly, my understanding of this situation is that it is a political decision, they are very wary of trying to add any more Russian or any aligned liveries. Frankly it is a decision I disagree with because you exacerbate tension in an otherwise neutral space, where the additions of liveries as a representation of a country is a symptom, over a stance.
Hopefully they don’t because if they do that, the game will lose value little by little. Let’s just wait for the developers to response and hopefully they response.

Unfortunately, I think that at one point they had a Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 cover while the flight was loading. I think they added that cover when war started. Based on that, we can conclude whose side they are on and that, for now, we won’t be seeing any Russian liveries or aircraft.
Why don’t they add the Ukraine International Airlines 737-800 then? Would make more sense instead of the -900 we have
Weird thing though, both those liveries were confirmed after the war started? Really strange for you to confirm liveries and then decide not to include them due to a war that started before the confirmation occurred.
I can’t remember this loading screen image (to be completely honest), but it is important to note that we had Ukranian artists at that time working on most of our aircraft. These were people who were working with us who had their lives and work heavily disrupted.
I would also note that IF is no longer available for sale in Russia due to sanctions, just to add some more context for the discussion.
I for one, don’t remember there ever being a UIA 737 as a loading screen. If there was, I highly doubt its reasoning for being put as such would be due to the war going on. It’s likely it was just badly timed or something. Also I feel like the whole “whose side” thing is a dishonest way to engage in this conversation as that isn’t really what we are talking about. I might be wrong though.

Just because you personally don’t remember it doesn’t mean it didn’t exist. I can personally confirm that there was a Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 cover right after the war started, or sometime around then. The reason you probably don’t remember it is because you don’t play IF often enough. Also, if you think it’s just a coincidence that the UIA loading screen cover was put up right after the war in Ukraine, I think you’re delusional. I’m just saying what I see, but just like you said, I could be wrong.
I would have to react to this with a tilt of my head here… Sure, Russia is undergoing sanctions which makes commerce and consumption in both sides very difficult. But I am unsure of what the implication is that you’re making? Are you implying that the demand has decreased sharply, because people struggle to play from there?

Not implying anything else or making an official comment on the status of the liveries (I don’t have an answer to that), just adding some context to the discussion that selling in Russia for us is impossible due to the sanctions.
Understood, I am still unsure of how, aside from demand dropping or potential controversies that you’d rather avoid, this would cause such a big stall on continuing with adding such. Of course I unsderstand it’s not your place to comment, but I think it would be appreciated to have a more official comment from someone who knows and decides. Otherwise, it feels like a silent disservice to people inside and outside of Russia (of which still contains a decent, albeit quiet user base) whom have voted for those liveries.
Infinite Flight appears to maintain a stance where airlines and liveries from countries facing international sanctions or restricted app availability are given significantly lower priority for development. This is evident in both Russian carriers (as discussed and pointed out by Cameron here) and Chinese airlines, (implied here Inside The Development Hangar - #310 by schyllberg).
I don’t really feel as though this is a good idea, Infinite Flight should promote and celebrate the diversity of airlines around the world. One of the most fascinating things that drew me into aviation is how it serves as a bridge between cultures and nations globally. While many users prefer flying routes in their home regions, others, me included, use the simulator to explore new and unfamiliar places. While it is understandable to oppose the aggressive actions of a state’s government, that does not mean we should be denied the liveries needed to explore this region.
Both China and Russia have incredibly beautiful geographical features (although some of Russia is cutoff due to 60 degree restriction). We should be opening up these unique routes with their liveries rather than ignoring them altogether.
So if a country directly or indirectly bans a business, you think that business should just carry on as usual and “celebrate” the diversity of those countries that have banned the business in question?
Respectfully for a flight simulator titled “Infinite Flight,” with global scenery and handmade 3D airports in these countries, I think yes..
If the sim’s world is built to be borderless for scenery and airports, it makes sense for the liveries to match that same standard.
