probably red. Idk it just looks the nicest. Although I also like blue. So I’d say it’s tied between red and blue.

Condor flies to Iceland for the first time

Source

Welcome to the land of fire and ice: Germany’s most popular leisure airline is bringing travellers to Iceland for the first time. From May 2023, Condor will be offering one overnight flight per week from Frankfurt to Akureyri in the north and to Egilsstaðir in the east of Iceland. This will be the first time the island state is on Condor’s flight schedule and with that, the airline will add two attractive destinations in the north to its portfolio.

"We are extremely happy that German airline Condor has chosen Akureyri and Egilsstaðir as its destinations here in Iceland,” says Sigrún Björk Jakobsdóttir, CEO of Isavia Regional Airports. “Condor´s decision is the result of the powerful promotional work we and our collaborators have done to emphasize the development of more gateways into Iceland. The work we have done is bearing fruit and we welcome Condor to the North and East of Iceland with open arms.”

Akureyri and Egilsstaðir have excellent airports ready to receive Condor flights next year,” says Sigríður Dögg Guðmundsdóttir, Head of Visit Iceland. „These new flights give our visitors the possibility to explore Iceland further by landing directly in the north or the east of Iceland. Both regions offer breathtaking landscapes and have a great tourism infrastructure in place, with a wide choice of hotels and outdoor activities and facilities.“

So far, Akureyri and Egilsstaðir are accessible via domestic flights and by car and bus. The two towns are located on the ring road that runs once around the island, making them popular starting points for round trips. Akureyri is the fourth largest city in Iceland and is located on the shore of a fjord that extends far into the country. Popular destinations are the waterfalls Aldeyjarfoss and Goðafoss, Lake Mývatn with its numerous lava formations and the village of Húsavík for whale watching. Egilsstaðir, as the largest town in the area, opens the east of Iceland. From there the spectacular Stuðlagil canyon and Hafrahvammagljúfur canyon in the Eastern Highlands can be explored, as well as one of Iceland’s tallest waterfalls, Hengifoss. The magnificent Eastfjords, that stretch all the way south to the picturesque Eystrahorn offer a scenic coastline with numerous small villages and narrow fjords, perfect for exploring authentic Icelandic everyday life. The region has beautiful nature and wildlife, Hallormsstaðaskógur is the country’s largest forest, and the area is home to wild reindeer and puffins that come to nest by the coast every summer.

Just saying you should work on your sense of humor. Making the same joke in every Condor request seems a little unoriginal. Not even talking about the fact that this joke has been made dozens of time before by many other people.

Sorry i only made it in one other one…my bad

With our recently announced changes to the feature category, any livery feature request for operators that have unique liveries for each aircraft or group of aircraft within their fleet (rather than just one livery for all aircraft) will be closed. This is to prevent a feature request being made for every livery available. In these cases, community members can now create one generic livery request per aircraft type following the guidance below:

In cases where an operator has various/unique liveries for each aircraft within their fleet, one feature request should be created for that aircraft type as a generic livery request. The topic must include a list of the various liveries available (or a link to a source which contains them), and no more than 3 images to show some of the different types of liveries currently in use (e.g. feature request for “A320 Condor Livery”, includes a list of the different designs available, up to 3 images to show some of the different colored stripe designs that are currently in use on the A320 aircraft, and then if available, a link to where these can be found online)

Note: Frontier liveries are dealt with on a case by case basis but are unlikely to be permitted on the A320 series aircraft due to the large number already present in-app

If the feature request is chosen as a livery to be included in a future update, then we will decide which exact livery is included with a community poll (please note that this is subject to change based on design/time constraints or other internal factors).

New generic feature request. Feel free to vote there! 🙌
