I would like to request the addition of the new Condor livery to IF (on the A320).
Condor is one of the two main leisure airlines in Germany and has a very good reputation.
It’s was part of the Thomas Cook Airline Family, but has fortunately now has been bought by PGL the mother company of Polish LOT.
The company slogan is “Condor - Wir lieben fliegen” which translates to “Condor - We love flying”
I would love to fly this beautiful aircraft to sunny destination in Europe (e.g. Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece) and beyond (e.g. Egypt) and hope you’d love to see it in IF too.
Well. That would be a problem as LOT just bought Condor. As far as I am aware, all Condor liveries will be rebranded to LOT liveries. (being absorbed into LOT)
Actually, I may be wrong. They may stay the same, just under LOT’s banner.
I have no idea where you got that from, as it’s contradictory to everything I heard and as well to the statements by LOT’s CEO:
“ PGL-Chef Rafal Milczarski betont, dass beide Markennamen erhalten blieben. Lot stehe für das Liniengeschäft, Condor für das Urlaubsgeschäft. Mit Condor wolle man nicht nur in Deutschland wachsen, sondern auch in anderen osteuropäischen Märkten.”
Freely translated: The PGL CEO stresses that both brand names will be kept. LOT stands for the scheduled flights and Condor for the holiday flights. Condor shall see growth not only in Germany but also in other markets in Eastern Europe.
Started writing before that edit (and didn’t check your post before posting), apologies. It’s definitely not correct that a LOT repaint will happen though.
No, Condor remains Condor with a Condor livery (if a small LOT or PGL partner/group branding will be added isn’t known to me, but I doubt it).
Condor flights will not be operated by LOT but Condor (or a Operator for Condor), just as Austrian flights are operated by Austrian even though they are owned by Lufthansa Group.
I love the Thomas Cook/Condor colours! I slightly prefer the sunny heart on the tail to the condor logo, but would still be so happy if this was added!
