Who here misses the worlds first supersonnic passenger jet, the queen of the skies, the Concorde. I know I sure do.
But now Airbus has recently made a patent for something shocking. Concorde 2. This new aircraft, which will go more than 4 times the speed of sound, and a whopping cruising altitude of 100,000 Feet - will eat the original Concordes lunch.

Well it’s faster because its shorter. But its length when compared to the Concorde’s should mean it would be able to take at least 80 passengers! Sounds like Airbus is behind and has done it again.
I hate to burst your bubbles, but aircraft manufacturers routinely patent things they have no interest in making.
And this info looks pretty old. Airbus might have even made these plans just after they manufactured the original Concorde!
Airbus didn’t exist back then. There has always been interest in making a supersonic jet transport system even since the Concorde retired, it’s just that no one has come up with a commercially viable solution.
