About the Airport

Hamad International Airport (IATA: DOH, ICAO: OTHH) (Arabic: مطار حمد الدولي‎, Maṭār Ḥamad al-Duwalī ) is the sole international airport in the nation of Qatar. Located south of its capital, Doha, it replaced the former Doha International Airport as Qatar’s principal airport.

Formerly known as New Doha International Airport, Hamad International Airport was originally scheduled to open in 2009, but after a series of costly delays, the airport finally opened on 30 April 2014 with a ceremonial Qatar Airways flight landing from nearby Doha International. National carrier Qatar Airways and all other carriers formally relocated to the new airport on 27 May 2014.

Hey! Welcome to my third event, which will be at Hamad International Airport!

While I’ve never been to Doha, I do know that it is the richest city in the world, which is why I chose this airport! The airport is always busy and is the second largest airport in the Middle East capable of handling up to 93 million passengers, although estimates show it should only get around 50 million! The airport is a hub for Qatar Airways, Qatar Airways Cargo, and Qatar Executive. From short flights to Muscat to long flights to Los Angeles, Hamad International Airport serves many destinations worldwide!

Notams

1. Please spawn in at your assigned gate 10 minutes before scheduled departure time.
2. Do not pushback at the same time as the person next to you! Wait until he/she is taxiing and at a safe distance.
3. You will be responsible for any violations or ghostings you receive.
4. If you need help with creating a flight plan or fuel planning, click here.
5. All pushback procedures and runways in use will be announced in a PM the day before the event.
6. Due to blockades with other countries, every Qatar Airways flight will not be allowed to fly above or to the following countries: Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Bahrain. No routes to any city in these countries will be given either.

If you want a gate that is not on the list, but for an airline or destination from Hamad International, check if it is a real route and tell me! I can change a gate so long as it corresponds with the real one! You can find these routes here or here! Also, when requesting a gate, just let me know your callsign, the aircraft you will use. Certain special liveries are allowed but you must let me know before you fly one to prevent confusion

Not sure if you can make it to the event, or do you fly to a destination that is taken? Just let me know, and I will add you to the StandBy Gates! Let me know what gate you want, and I will add you!

@Matthew_20204 No worries! Your flight has been changed!

@United_1154 @Altaria55 @JeromeJ You guys have been signed up! See you there!

@Gtmkm98 Qatar Airways does not fly the A388 to Auckland, and rather the 777. Would you be fine with that aircraft, or would you like to change your aircraft?

@anon45500775 Sorry about that! You can however fly to other destinations!
