The core of UPS Virtual was formed 4 years ago as one of the first cargo VA’s to become certified by the VARB. After being recertified one year ago, our core and our close knit family of pilots, is stronger than ever. We continue our rich tradition of professionalism, being a family oriented virtual airline and near nightly group overnighters. Simply put, we love to fly together!
Worldport is home to our immense worldwide operations network and the spot we have decided to host our Fly In & Fly Out Anniversary Event. Participating pilots are free to fly the routes of their choosing; cargo or commercial airline. Simply choose a departure gate, aircraft and provide us with your reserved VA affiliation; if applicable, and we’ll be more than happy to sign you up. Main Event
Take part in our main event fly out from KSDF! Much like you do when flying with our VA, you choose your adventure. Select where you wish to fly to and sign up below. Available gates are listed in a second post. Pushbacks are expected to begin at 4:00pm EST.
Don’t want to fly UPS? Not a problem! Feel free to fly your favorite airline into or out of KSDF.
Worldport & Airport Details
UPS Worldport is a massive 5.2 million square foot shipping facility with a perimeter that spans 7.2 miles built and designed specifically by UPS for their world operations in Louisville, Kentucky. Over 416,000 packages are processed per hour on over 33,450 conveyer belts. During peak time in December, over 4 million packages are processed per day. Our amazing home is the world’s largest automated packing handling facility you can find. It’s centralized location in the United States is what made this part of the country ideal for UPS Airlines operations and what keeps Muhammad Ali International Airport in the top 5 list of the worlds busiest cargo gateways.

IFATC Assignments
Do I have to be a member of UPS Virtual to participate in this event?
No you don’t. This event is open to all pilots from the IFC who can fly on the Expert Server.
Are there any preset routes?
We will have two predetermined fly in routes you can also be a part of.
Am I responsible for creating my own flight plan?
Please create your own flight plan for the main event. The fly in routes will be led by UPS Virtual staff and flight plans can be copied off of them. The use of SIDS and STARS is required for all aircraft leaving and arriving at Muhammad Ali International Airport.
About Our Family
Over the years we have invested our efforts in featuring a fun and laid back atmosphere for pilots who appreciate the freedom that flying cargo provides. With no rank or UPS aircraft restrictions, we provide a sense of freedom to our pilots which they have come to know and love. In a time where many VA’s control how you can fly, we have decided to go a different route. We have no assigned hubs and offer you an updated schedule of our real world counterpart in addition to our Free to Fly Program; which allows you to create your own adventure by following some very simple operating procedures. How do we motivate you to keep flying for us? For one, our family is a close knit group of pilots that are just simply fun to fly with and interact with in our Discord server. Various medals keep you focused on building flight hours and our various codeshare options fill in the gaps where our normal operations wouldn’t be able to take you. Our various and unique to us internal flight programs keep adventures interesting and tailored to real world events while our state of the art crew center equipped with ACARS and many other features makes navigating your pilot portal a breeze.
