Would love suggestions and ideas of what you guys would like the Guide to have/include.

Except for fuel 🫠

Yea ik lol. I’m trying to make a comparison for each type. They also got vastly different flight profiles too.

I do wonder why they’re different though. I swear it would make sense to just put both of them on the exact same curve lol

Idk. But as a cargo aircraft the MD-11F typically has a much less weight-to-fuel Aspect. Meaning there is way more payload then on the passenger version. Thus takeoff and landing speeds/profiles are quite different as MTOW is typically alot more at any given moment.

I’m still doing some research & flight testing on this, but the differences will be added in the guide

I’ve never seen a sneak peak for an aircraft guide before. Truly the bar has been set very high

Yea its a really big project. So in the future I will use this thread for feedback and suggestions before release.

Very excited for this @Topgottem .

I’ma be honest, I did not expect for iPads and phones to be 50/50 in the poll.

I use them equally often, tbh, but I just put phone because that’s what I’m on right now. I will use my iPad for bigger topics/longer posts though.

Ah I see makes sense.

This isn’t even true though.

First of all, MTOW is MTOW no matter how you get there. Even if the F is carrying more non-fuel weight and the other is carrying more fuel, they both still weigh the same 630k lbs at MTOW.

Second of all, the two of them have the exact same payload in IF. While it is true that IRL the F can carry 200k lbs of non-fuel load while the other can only carry 115k, the IF MD11F can only carry 115k lbs of cargo as well.

It honestly seems like the MD11F was just like “Oh, we have MD11 assets? Let’s just chuck on a door and make it a freighter”. Why they bothered to change the cruise profile but not the loading profile is entirely beyond me.

Yea I didn’t word that very well did I.
