At 10:32 a.m. on May 28, China Eastern Airlines, using the world’s first C919 large passenger aircraft delivered by COMAC, performed flight MU9191 from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Beijing Capital Airport, starting the world’s first commercial passenger flight of this aircraft type, and landed at Beijing Capital Airport at 12:31 a.m.
According to China Eastern Airlines, the customer experience will run through the whole process of C919 on-board service and service product design. Themed meal selected by the passengers will be presented on the flight; in addition, the in-flight supplies are also printed with the same exclusive China Seal logo as the first delivered C919 fuselage, allowing the majority of passengers to feel the special journey experience.
The first C919 of China Eastern Airlines will operate on the Shanghai Hongqiao - Chengdu Tianfu route for initial commercial operation.
