COMAC C919 officially delivered to China Eastern Airlines Co.

On 9 December 2022, COMAC delivered the “C919 World’s First Commemorative Key” to China Eastern Airlines and issued a sales certificate for the aircraft; the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued a nationality registration certificate, a single aircraft airworthiness certificate (AC certificate) and a radio license to China Eastern Airlines. When will it start operating?

This morning it has actually completed a manned flight from PVG-SHA, although this is not really a commercial operation. According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the C919 is required to undergo 100 hours of commercial operation testing after delivery to China Eastern Airlines. Officials say that official commercial operations are expected to begin in spring 2023

So happy to see that, as a fan of China Eastern Airline, it is a great honor to see COMAC’s C919 officially delivered to CES.

It’s a bit like if this was a plane:

A few pieces from every aircraft combined into one

Well, I need to remind you that designing a modern aircraft is not a matter of simply piecing it together. Every aircraft has some reference, however this is a different concept to putting something together.

Yeah, you can’t really make something without using some sort of a reference and you wouldn’t make something without copying someone
