I was doing a flight from KLAX to KDFW and I was pushing back. Keep in mind, ATC was online. An American A319 2 gates away from me was also pushing back, but he had started slightly before me. When I was about 80% through my pushback, he already began taxiing and could clearly see me, however, he continued taxiing and didn’t stop. When I was about 85-90% in my pushback, he still didn’t stop, which is when I stopped because I had noticed him. There was still plenty of time for him to stop, but he decided to continue until the very last second. I decided to wait for him to either pushback, or deviate around me, as there wasn’t much I could do apart from pushback in the other direction, which would have been time consuming for both of us. He then just decided to taxi through me. I provided some images below in case you don’t understand.
This is very unprofessional from the other pilot for sure. But tbh you should not have been pushing back really until they had taxied past you anyway. But can I quickly ask, was this on Expert or Training? I suspect training given a controller would not have let this situation occur on Expert.
Actually, this was on expert, and I pushed back with clearance from ATC, but ATC instructed him to slow down. But I do agree that I should have stopped earlier, but as it was night time I couldn’t really see him until I changed it to day which luckily I did at that time.
That surprises me, I would not have expected ATC to give you a pushback instruction if they were taxiing or giving them a taxi instruction if you were pushing back. That is bizarre.
On a side note, why is there a Lufthansa E190 at KLAX…
Getting back on track, it is definitely very unprofessional and inappropriate for a pilot to be behaving like this on expert. I have definitely seen an increase in such behavior on the server, and I am curious what the devs and mods plan on doing to try and alleviate the issue of trollage.
Personally, from an IFATC perspective, I would’ve never let the aircraft behind you begin their taxi, taking into consideration that you need room to pushback.

I agree, some people have no regard for others and this isn’t the first time like this something has happened to me on expert. A while back, I spawned into a gate but somebody kept taking my spot and spawning inside of me, and when I left and joined at another gate, he just kept spawning into me. I hope that devs and mods can add stricter guidelines and warnings, and change the name to something else, because this server is definetly not very “expert”.

Also, I agree that the ATC either should have waited to clear me for pushback, or at least made him wait for taxi. He wasn’t even doing a real flight actually, because he had no flight plan and was just goofing around, because I saw him taxiing and flying recklessly.
Was KLAX busy if so then maybe that other plane didn’t see you even though you can see him
