Codesharing &virtual airlines

Hey Guys, as iam new to virtual airlines, let me know how codeshare works in virtual airlines and in IF??!

When two Virtual Airlines (VAs) want to agree on a codeshare, they will decide on a certain amount of routes from both VAs’ database and share them with one another.

This can be done arbitrarily, or codeshare agreements can follow what is done in real life. I’ll use an example for clarity:

Let’s say AFKLM and UVAL want to make a codeshare agreement. There will decide to share 25 routes to one another. Meaning that an AFKLM pilot will be able to fly the 25 routes included in the agreement, and UVAL pilots will be able to do the same for AFKLM’s routes.

Let me know if you have any other questions. And if you are in a VA, I’m sure the staff (or other pilots) will be able to answer your questions.
