Coast Guard medivac on the Queen Mary II

U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod used An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, The crew medevaced an 84-year-old woman today off the cruise ship Queen Mary 2. The woman sustained a fractured ankle and a head injury after falling while on the ship.

According to the Massachusetts General Hospital, she is in stable condition.

I am not an expert, but I would think that may be more routine than we would like to think, I mean hiw else do you got someone from a cruse liner to higher levels of care…

With that many people on bord I bet there are more serious injuries than we would like to think…

I am glad that woman is okay and so is everyone else! Hopefully this won’t even have to happen in the first place again.

You said it! And she is the only one still afloat, which is quite sad. This isn’t too much of a surprise, when the seas get tough older people can’t handle it. Has happened on cruises I’ve been on many times.
