Coast Guard Medivac Off of The Disney Magic!

Today I bring some throwback shots from 2015! I was on a transatlantic cruise and on the first night there was a medical emergency and it required a Coast Guard airlift. So here are my best photos from that event!

And my personal favorite…

Sorry for not posting yesterday I will do the promised American Airlines topic tomorrow.

Thank you! Sorry if the photos aren’t the quality that usually come from me, they were taken with a point and shoot camera.

Great pictures of the Coasties! They are Semper Paratus

Yes they are! Fun fact at my school we have to learn Latin and Semper Paramus and Semper Fidelis were the only phrases I knew going into it

Nice! I wish they thought me during school, but I learned military mottos because of my dad, who is in the CG.

Cool, my dad was a naval carrier aviator.

I do like how nobody’s even asked about the person having the emergency…🤨😂

The person broke their hip. The bathrooms on the shop are slightly elevated and the person fell on it

Very nice photos. If I was to ever join the coastguard that would be the job to do. Some sort of Aircrew.

Yes, that would be my choice too

Do you remember if the helicopter landed on the ship’s helipad or if they winched the patient up into the helicopter?

Kudos to the aircrew and the ship personnel!

They hoisted the guy up. When he got close to the helicopter he started spinning. Most people didn’t realize that the ship never stopped steaming

Here is a video from the helicopter approaching the ship

Oh Dang, this is very interesting. one of the rare times that my 2 favorite industries meet. Aviation and Cruising. Love that livery on the Heli!

Me too! Yes I love ships and everything involving the ocean almost as much as I love aviation!

Maybe it’s time for an Infinite Flight spin-off - “infinite cruise”

The helidecks usually can’t take the weight of a SAR aircraft, therefore winching is the automatic method 99.9% of the time.

Yeah, that’s true
