Today (June 6th) the Panamanians we remember the tragedy of the flight 201 of Copa Airlines, a Boeing 737-204adv leased from Britannia, that took off from Panama City to a night flight to Cali, Colombia with 40 passengers, 5 flight attendants and 2 pilots. The plane crashed in the jungles of the Darien province in the east of the country killing everyone onboard. The crash was in 1992. The registration was HP-1205CMP.
Here is the episode of Air Crash Investigation, explaining what happened in that fatal crash, which is the worst accident in the history of Panamanian aviation.
I heard about that crash too, and also I saw that episode too, very sad, but Copa moved on and now is a better airline that before. My condolences to you and all Panamanians @buzzlightyear.
