Alright I dont want this to sound like a stupid question, but, why isnt the cirrus cloud layer automatic?

Having clouds be automatic based on live weather can be difficult.
The most likely reliable way for a flight sim is through the airport METAR and weather reports, and they don’t usually specifically identify cirrus clouds, it just gives the cloud density (scattered, broken, etc.) and altitude.

I meant like, why cant the sim automatically set the cirrus layer altitude and layer?
Could also be a start to live weather 
Because there is no set altitude for them. The range at which they can form is massive and overlaps with the other cloud types.
It’s probably best that they be manual for now rather than “inaccurate” (and let the user decide their preference for them), at least until we get more cloud types.

The clouds are fixed and will not move with the wind.
