Today, I want to highlight the end of an era for Hawaiian Airlines, the airline that represented my home state for 95 years. Starting October 29, 2025, at 0:11 HST (10:11 UTC), all Hawaiian Airlines flights will operate under the Alaska callsign and ICAO code, leaving behind the distinct Hawaiian callsign and code as history. This comes after the Single Operator Certificate was approved by the FAA, a move done to further integrate Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines into a more uniform system. To highlight this historic day, I gathered some photos I took over the past few weeks to showcase.
