So i got TL2 this morning after warming SUPER hard to get it. I have a few VAs in mind to start. The main one is Air Choice 1 Virtual. This airline flys mainly in the central area of the U.S. but in the eastern side of it. They fly all cessna 208s and the vA will use they grey livery to imitate their older livery. The next one is coporate virtual. We fly any plane with a generic livery to any airport even if it’s a connecting flight. Like from Memphis to an airport in Texas in a crj-900 or 737 then a 208 flight into a grass strip ranch.
I really think you could pull it off with no king air, and Janet VA may do reasonably well, but fictional VA’s need to be fantsstic to get more than a handfull of members, typicly they are also harder to get past the reviw stage of the process, becuais not too many people will be intrested, I think in almost every way Janet is you’re best bet.
Adding on to KPIT by the time you actually see you might want Janet, then another person might have reserved it already while your trying to get your va approved.
The thing with the is its every morning fly from klas to one airport then back in the afternoon then repeat. So like… really gonna get boring kinda fast.
As long as the CEO and development team are excited and dedicated to the task, a great product will be the output. Obviously, there are factors to consider like potential interest and structure, but the thing that drives the quality of the VA is the quality of the attitude you take into the development process.
I say you don’t turn to the community to see what they want to see. If you are truly passionate about starting a VA, apply for it, and see what happens. If you were truly passionate, you wouldn’t care about what the community wants becuase at the end of the day, one pilot at a time, and with a nice thread, you will receive applications
I also do not like these because I see this as early advertisement of your VA, which technically isn’t allowed as it isn’t VARB approved, but that’s just me.
I’d recommend really thinking hard about what VA you want to start. Getting your VA approved is very difficult and requires A LOT of work. Then, if you get approved, it’s a lot of hard work to run the VA and be a devoted CEO. It’s a lot harder than it looks!
