So while doing a flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong, I was probably an hour or 2 away from Hong Kong. That is when I saw an aircraft approaching me from a distance. As we got closer, It was clear he was going to get super close. That is when he got very close but not like wing to wing. We did maintain a safe distance so don’t worry. Here is the image.

I had the same encounter but closer, it was like we were flying the same flight plan, and from a distance away I saw a plane 10 nautical miles away from me, same altitude. Then
I went onto my map, and it looked like we were nose to nose, so then I had to think fast, turned off nav mode, and make a quick turn right, when I did that he was on the pin point of running in to each other, but at the correct timing I had done that simple turn. Believe it or not, it only happened yesterday, and on expert server too.

Not sure what your standards of a “safe distance” are, but one of you guys went against the age-old ‘cruising altitude-direction’ rule. Cool photo anyways :)
