Like how we have Clear Scenery I got an Idea is useful for some flyers like my that have low storage.
Why should we have this?
We should have this because it can create more storage on our device. When I normally fly after every flight I clear my scenery and delete my replays but the liveries cant be deleted so after every few flights I will need to reinstall the app inorder to remove all the liveries that I downloaded which can take time ,but with this new feature you won’t have to reinstall the app and just clear aircraft livery to save space.
Thank you for doing this feature, I’m tired of uninstalling IF 2 to 5 times a day. And yes I fly with low aircraft number shown because I’m doing a big easyJet rotation today and I saw a lot of airplanes, so I had to put the low option. Normally when I do 2 or 3 flights/day I put it on medium.
Wow , I do 2-3 normally too, but not today as I said, I don’t even dare to see my storage after all these flights though it’s on low lol, I’m sure that I’ll crash soon @Captainflight , I saw a lot of airplanes in different areas
Update : I just crashed after clearing cache and it went to less than 1GB ;(
I can’t handle more than 3 flights, sad.
For just 3 flights , using low number of shown aircrafts…
I always clear up my replay and scenery after everyflight and airdrop it to another device and still after 3-4 flights it fills up as I use different aircraft and the liveries need to be downloaded, and using the same Aircraft and Livery gets boring and is unrealistic on some routes. With this feature you won’t need to reinstall the app.
In my honest opinion, this is a very much needed feature for low memory devices such as mine and as stated above, after every flight I do, I need to reinstall the app to offload airplane data. Very good topic, it really deserves some attention… voted!
@Captainflight Today I did ATC for 5 hours , I was obligated to select « none » , which is a pity because I had to zoom a lot in the map , sometimes it wasn’t enough when taxiways were busy I put it on low for 10 seconds so I could see that the distances were respected… Doing ATC without constantly being able to listen aircrafts noises and to see them is a pity for real, but I had to…
Imagine if I had put on low or more (not none) for the whole 5H , considering all the traffic that I had to manage with, my phone would have crashed , with maybe 10GB of aircrafts…
I would never have been able to do 5H of ATC.
