Heard about this a few minutes ago. Super sad. I’m sure he lived a long, happy, and fulfilling life, though. May he rest in peace.
Sad days, but he will be forever soaring now!

A WWII pilot, the first to break the sound barrier, and so much more. Chuck was truly an inspiration for many people in the aviation world (me included). He was one of the most important and greatest pilots in the world.
My prayers go out to his family and friends
