You hear about bad bird strikes from time to time but this maybe the oddest one I’ve come across.
A China Airlines 747-400 was on approach at Manila International Airport when it encountered a flock of birds. One of the birds penetrated the the wing of the 747.
When was this?
I’m sure if you read the article you would know.
It occurred on August 19th, 2016.
Well penetrated the “wing” it more than likely hit the leading edge of the extended flaps and they got stuck there, and then they were retracted upon landing
