Before the last update we were able to change our callsigns without leaving the flight and it was quite useful, atleast for me. İ do not change my callsign mid-flight but for example when making a return flight back to the starting airport. Like doing LTFM-LTAI then LTAI-LTFM, since these are different flights they have different callsigns so i change my callsign before the departure from LTAI.

No, currently there is no way to change your call sign inflight right now. You can only change it before the flight.

Like you should be able to change it on the ground but not in the air. Like im doing another flight right now thats in the same session but different callsign so its rather frustrating.
If they took a feature away, then I highly doubt that they’ll bring it back. They took away runway markings for example, and they show no interest in bringing them back unfortunately
Exactly, i don’t do returning flights anymore because it doesn’t feel realistic with the wrong callsign.
asked myself the same question, hope they bring it back. i often do following flights and loved the realistic touch
İn another topic where people complained about this same thing i saw a staff member telling them that “feedback was taken and they will take it to consideration”. Now im not old enough in this community to know how promising that is supposed to be but i guess i will hope they bring it back anyway.
Now it is a bit weird actually, we have no way to change call sign on the ground but can easily do it at the cruise level. I hope this is going to be adjusted somehow.
Honestly not all that promising. They say that but then don’t actually consider it until either the entire community wants it back or they will wait years before bringing it back. They add things like simbrief that not a whole lot of people really asked for. I mean let’s be honest there aren’t really a whole lot of realistic people on this sim that take the time to actually research what flights to do.
Don’t get me wrong sim brief is actually in my opinion the greatest thing added to the sim. I say this because trying to scroll through flight radar 24 and manually marking down every waypoint on a navigational airway would take me like 30 minutes to an hour (sometimes even 3-5 hours because of the fact that I do 10 flights at once and I take aviation alot more serious than most which means all 10 flights I do must have a proper well put together flight plan).
But taking away features that almost everyone uses, such as changing callsigns during flight sessions, only to add a feature that not a whole lot of people ask for, such as being able to link simbrief to your infinite flight account or altitude presets, is quite annoying. Don’t get me wrong I love some of the new features but not at the price of getting rid of other features that I love as well and use. I only wish some of the development team actually our input into actual consideration.
