I’ve been wanting to test my skills in IF for a while but I don’t really know many challenging approaches and I need some suggestions (can be done using airliners preferably) the ones I’ve tried till now are VHHX, KASE, LPMA and TNCM.
TNCM is a good one.
The straight in over the water? How is that challenging? 😂
you have not tried to do Lukla?
oh i see
then you could try DCA 19 approach as @ToasterStroodie explained the anacostia approach for 19
or you could try VILH in and indian airline A320 or 739 where you go over the airport do a 360 and then land ;)
heres the DCA 19 approach topic
VNLK in a Dash 8!
RJOO is a cool one to try.
LOWI is pretty challenging as well. Lots of mountains and unpredictable winds.
You could also try a combat approach to almost any airport. However, if you’ve never done one, I recommend doing it on the casual server a couple times first as it can be very tricky.
Well I did it in a 747 and the runway is pretty short for it ig
VNLK At A380 !
You should definitely try SBRJ (rwy 02R/20L), SPZO (rwy 28), LFKC rwy 36 circling approach, PAJN rwy 26, NZQN and NZWN (when there are strong crosswinds)
these are just some suggestions
there are much more throughout the world
Lukla seems very daunting
I’ll definitely try the anacostia approach seems very interesting and VILH too thank you so much for the suggestions 😊
VNLK in a dash 8 seems like a recipe for disaster😂
Will check it out thank you for the suggestion👍😊
Lol, it’s possible. Difficult but possible.
LOWI seems challenging I’ll try it in the 767 I think it’s the biggest aircraft that can fly there👍
Definitely a must😂😂
Thank you so much for the suggestions😊😊 gonna try em all!
I also really like the approaches to Tegucigalpa (MHTG) and Paro (VQPR). These are very challenging approaches, especially for planes the size of the A320 Family. I could not land successfully on the first attempt at both airports and had to go around to try it again.
I’d try Sion in Switzerland, its in the mountains and it has an instrument approach in the app.
