Why am I posting this?
I know I know, there is another Cessna 210 post somewhere out there. But I personally think that post outhere isn’t introducing the Cessna 210 good enough and I actually want to make a feature post about the Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion, a specific and different type in the Cessna 210 family. I just think we need to give the GA world a little bit more love. I even think (and I think I share this opinion with many others) we need more GA aircraft in Infinite Flight. The Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion will be a good option for the next GA aircraft that could be added to Infinite Flight.
Why the Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion?
First of all, the real avgeeks know that this aircraft type has been circumnavigated around the world by youtubers FunForLouis and JP (The Candourist). which is just amazing. But if you look at this aircraft itself, its a stunning strutless Cessna with high performance (more info about that below). With her retractable landing gear, it is really one of a kind from her era and is still frequently flown everywhere around the globe.
The Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion
Cessna 210

210L Centurion / Turbo Centurion
A 210K with nose-mounted landing lights, the electrical system changed to 24 volt, the engine-driven hydraulic pump replaced with an electrical pump and a three-bladed prop fitted. Improved aerodynamics led to an increase in approximately 8 kn (15 km/h) in cruise speed. Produced 1972-76, 2070 built.
Another tiny detail to pay attention to, the doorstep (if that is the correct name) is retractable as well. As soon as the landing gear gets retracted, the door/footstep mounted beneath the doors will be retracted, which results in less drag when flying.
A lot of improvements which resulted in an outstanding GA aircraft. Now lets see what the specs look like.
