Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion

Why am I posting this?

I know I know, there is another Cessna 210 post somewhere out there. But I personally think that post outhere isn’t introducing the Cessna 210 good enough and I actually want to make a feature post about the Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion, a specific and different type in the Cessna 210 family. I just think we need to give the GA world a little bit more love. I even think (and I think I share this opinion with many others) we need more GA aircraft in Infinite Flight. The Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion will be a good option for the next GA aircraft that could be added to Infinite Flight.

Why the Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion?

First of all, the real avgeeks know that this aircraft type has been circumnavigated around the world by youtubers FunForLouis and JP (The Candourist). which is just amazing. But if you look at this aircraft itself, its a stunning strutless Cessna with high performance (more info about that below). With her retractable landing gear, it is really one of a kind from her era and is still frequently flown everywhere around the globe.

The Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion

Cessna 210
The Cessna 210 Centurion is a six-seat, high-performance, retractable-gear, single-engine, high-wing and strutless general aviation aircraft which was first flown in January 1957 and produced by Cessna until 1986. Below the improvements from the original 210 till the Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion.

Four-seat production variant with a Continental IO-470-E engine, 40 degree hydraulic flaps, gear doors, introduced in 1960. first flown in 1957, 575 built.

A 210 with a third cabin window on each side, introduced in 1961, 265 built.

A 210A with a cut-down rear fuselage, a rear-vision window and a Continental IO-470-S engine, introduced in 1962, 245 built.

A 210B with some minor changes, introduced in 1963, 135 built.

210D Centurion
A 210C fitted with a 285 hp (213 kW) Continental IO-520-A. Engine and increased takeoff weight to 3,100 lb (1,406 kg), introduced in 1964, 290 built.

210E Centurion
A 210D with some minor changes, introduced in 1965, 205 built.

210F Centurion / Turbo Centurion
A 210E with some minor changes and optional 285 hp (213 kW) turbocharged Continental TSIO-520-C engine, introduced in 1966, 300 built.

210G Centurion / Turbo Centurion
A 210F with a strutless cantilever wing and modified rear window, increased takeoff weight to 3,400 lb (1,542 kg), introduced in 1967, 228 built.

210H Centurion / Turbo Centurion
A 210G with a new flap system and instrument panel, 210 built. Flap range decreased to 30 degrees, fuel capacity increased from 65 to 90 US gal (246 to 341 l). Introduced in 1968.

210J Centurion / Turbo Centurion
A 210H with reduced wing dihedral, different nose profile and a Continental IO-520-J (or TSIO-520H) engine, introduced in 1969, 200 built.

210K Centurion / Turbo Centurion
A 210J with rear changed to full seat to provide six seats, an IO-520-L engine with 300 hp (224 kW) limited to five minutes, landing gear changed, enlarged cabin with a single rear side window, weight increased to 3,800 lb (1,724 kg), produced 1970-71, 303 built.

210L Centurion / Turbo Centurion
A 210K with nose-mounted landing lights, the electrical system changed to 24 volt, the engine-driven hydraulic pump replaced with an electrical pump and a three-bladed prop fitted. Improved aerodynamics led to an increase in approximately 8 kn (15 km/h) in cruise speed. Produced 1972-76, 2070 built.

Another tiny detail to pay attention to, the doorstep (if that is the correct name) is retractable as well. As soon as the landing gear gets retracted, the door/footstep mounted beneath the doors will be retracted, which results in less drag when flying.

A lot of improvements which resulted in an outstanding GA aircraft. Now lets see what the specs look like.

I hope y’all appreciate the effort and lets hope we can get a lot of votes, to motivate the devs to add this aircraft to the sim. So please vote and leave your opinion below in the comments, would love to hear your opinion or question if you have any.

I will vote for this, this is the best Cessna that is ever made in my opinion.

The pictiures belongs to M variant. It’s recently sold to it’s new owner. But one day I will buy it. (hopefully).

It can have up to 6 seats, this one has 4 seats.
I want specifically with this livery if possible.

looks amazing man

good looking machin, hope we’ll get it with alot of liveries

This plane reminds me good old days, I would fly with this every day if they ever add it in Infinite Flight.

Even though I’m infatuated with Beechcraft piston twins, mainly because they look cool, they’re alleged to handle well, and I don’t have to pay the maintenance bills for one, I have to say that if I owned a single-engine, retractable-gear Cessna, it’d be a T210 Turbo Centurion.
