I am currently flying out of Cairns in Northern Australia. My current position is inside the white highlighted area for Brisbane FIR but I am outside of the 405nm emitter range
Will there be any update to expand the airspace covered?
Don’t think so anytime soon as far as I know. It would be really hard to have coverage among such a wide amount of land especially with the unrealistic amounts of traffic infinite flight gets. It would probably drain your device in terms of performance. As tech evolves the sim will as well so hopefully soon!
Do you think that there would be a chance where two controllers could be controlling one FIR?
I.e how busy hub airports sometimes have a north/south and east/west approach
That would take a lot of coordination for one frequency and multiple people controlling it. We split different frequency operations to support the amount of workload on an individual controller so they all are responsible for a part of the controlling.
