Center control vs Autopilot+

I was wondering, if a flight is on Autopilot+ and is flying within an area under center control, how much authority does the center controller have to maintain separation from other traffic in the path that is also on Autopilot+?

None - aircraft that are in the background should be left alone and any conflicts deemed unintentional.

Got it. But don’t you think there should be some authority built into the simulator itself when the aircraft is on autopilot, to handle such situations?

Yaa. I think integration of TCAS would be nice. And I get it the whole system is very pilot friendly which is great.
